Familjen Jurist is a leading Swedish law firm focused on family law. Their goal is to make legal help more accessible and human, especially during life’s most emotional moments. Through both legal services and creative initiatives, they help people protect what matters most.

Conflicts over pets are becoming increasingly common during separations, as many assume that shared custody applies to pets as well. However, that’s not the case—only one person can be registered as the owner through the Swedish Board of Agriculture. In other words, pets are legally treated like shelves or kitchen tables in the event of a breakup or divorce.

To help prevent unhappy outcomes, we created the Furisdiction Agreement, allowing couples to register joint ownership of their pets.

To spread the campaign, we also designed a unique home decor item. A coffee table book filled with photos of pets and furniture, highlighting not just their visual similarities but, more importantly, their legal ones. In addition to print and digital channels, we partnered with around 30 influencers who share a pet with a significant other.
